Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are serious mental health conditions characterized by unusual eating habits that can harm both the body and emotions. Anorexia nervosa involves intense fear of gaining weight, leading to extreme food restriction and severe weight loss. Bulimia nervosa includes binge-eating followed by purging behaviors like vomiting or excessive exercise. Binge-eating disorder entails overeating without purging, often resulting in obesity. These disorders bring physical and emotional challenges, such as weight fluctuations, heart problems, stomach issues, and feelings of sadness or anxiety. Seeking help is crucial, as eating disorders can have severe consequences, both physically and mentally.
